very nice hotel in Kalahari

it was our third stay in this hotel after 2017 and 2023 and the hotel is still fantastic in a very nice location. very nice landscape, super food and a nice swimming pool. the staff and managers are also very friendly. we will be back

Perfect first stop in Namibia

Best Sundowner we had in Namibia! Good food, nice Pool and very nice staff.

We might suggest to have more sunbeds available around the Pool.

Predictably good quality stay with terrific food

The hotel/lodge is well located & pleasant throughout - Gondwana are a little more expensive than is average BUT their lodges are of an excellent quality & their staff are very committed to giving a good service

With Gondwana, this question is difficult to answer. I’d like to see wifi in every room.

Great lodge for a Kalahari stop.

Great Lodge for a stop on the way south. We did a game drive and saw an amazing number of animals. Fantastic buffet dinner! The room had a heater which was so appreciated as the nights were cold!

Very Good

The sundowner tour with Chriszley was wonderful. The room itself is not big but does the job for a stopover. Would not spend my two weeks holiday there though. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean.

The quality of the food was not consistent at the buffet during my two Stays.

Relaxed stay in the desert

Chill and relaxed atmosphere, little personal terrace with a hanging cocoon chair. Nicely designed common areas like bar, restaurant and campfire. And probably the best memory of all worth mentioning - kudu (game) steak at dinner. Probably the best piece of meat I have ever eaten, reminiscent of select meats in Argentina. Note that I have tried it elsewhere and didn’t like, but their chef made it to a perfection, all guests were vowed.

The rooms and the bathroom are a bit small-ish. For a couple and if you have large suitcases may become tight.

The pool area, the bar, the dining room and the outside area ja very nice. The trails were easy to find.

The room was very tiny. And there is not much of the red Sand to See .. It ist more a dry Grass Desert where the Hotel ist located

Everything about the place

Twin single beds. A new experience for us. We had requested a proper double bed.. The shop was not well stocked, only small sizes available. So we left with no memorabilia particularly Gondwana shirts and t/shirts that my wife really wanted.

Good value overnight stop.

This was a half way stop off point as we headed south. It reminded us both of a motel rather than a hotel with the rooms clustered around a courtyard. The room was clean and fresh, the buffet dinner and breakfast excellent with enormous amount of choice and the staff very helpful and friendly.

The verandas of the rooms all point inwards meaning that there is a lack of privacy.

Great sunset!

The view from the small pool to the waterhole was stunning! Dinner and breakfast excellent! Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to explore the property ourselves but there are great game spotting trails!

Oasis in the desert

The views from the pool are amazing. The bar is wonderful and you can get some nice cocktails here. We loved our stay here, people were very kind and helping. The food was excellent! We would have loved to stay longer.

Small point of attention: There were some small stains on the bed sheets. We can imagine that it is difficult to keep everything spotless in the desert, but maybe don't use white linnen.

It was an too expensive stay in terms of what what is offered except for the excellent meals.

Friendly personnel and good meals.

The stay is overpriced and not affordable for the average Namibian. You must be a member of the well-to do Namibian elite if you intend to stay at the Anib Lodge. No fridges, not even mini-fridges are provided for in the rooms. This is an impossible situation in the Namibia context. Comments by former Deputy Minister of Regional and Local Government, Namibia.

Lodge expanded capacity. It has 50 bungalows. The device becomes impersonal, large hotel. Wifi only in the restaurant. But running. Quality purity of both pools is not very good. The rooms have lots of insects.

Great lodge, very good safari guides

Staff very welcoming, guides very happy to share knowledge, answer questions about safari/animals/traditional life/modern life in Namibia. Lovely setting right in the Kalahari, excellent sundown and morning game drives, saw lots of animals on the move especially yesterday morning! Didn't have time to do a bush walk but lots of people seemed to be doing them. Accommodation was lovely, clean, lovely bar offering cocktails!

There's nothing I did not like, there are somethings to be aware of though eg: buffet food is fine, but very limited if you are a strict vegetarian, so be prepared (ad the guide books say) to be offered fish and chicken routinely as a Vege. I'm not at all strict so I broke some rules to make it a bit easier (but other - possibly posher - lodges do cater to individual needs quite carefully in my experience)

Beautiful Lodge, perfect to relax

The bungalows were amazing. The staff was incredible friendly. The food was wonderful and of high quality. We felt like in heaven!

Nothing to criticize! Check-out could be a bit more efficient.
